Aurum Helvetica Monthly Perspective — October 2026
September: A Month of Perspective and Progress
September reminded investors of an important lesson: precious metals do not move in a straight line.
Following a strong rally, gold and silver experienced volatility as markets reassessed the outlook for interest rates, bond yields and geopolitical risks. A pullback is a reminder that physical ownership does not remove price risk, and that investment decisions should reflect a clear time horizon rather than a short-term forecast.
Education Before Investing
At Aurum Helvetica, our philosophy is straightforward: Education before selling. Trust before transactions.
Precious metals may appear relatively simple from the outside, but product selection, premiums, custody, insurance, jurisdiction and eventual liquidity deserve careful attention. We believe clients should understand these factors before making an investment decision, allowing them to proceed with greater knowledge and confidence.
We expanded our educational platform in English, German and French, with guides and insights addressing questions we regularly receive from clients:
How to buy physical gold in Switzerland
Gold coins versus gold bars
Allocated versus unallocated ownership
How and where precious metals can be securely stored
Understanding premiums and physical ownership
Building Aurum Helvetica
Behind the scenes, September was another productive month of building and strengthening our foundation.
We continued enhancing our banking, compliance and operational infrastructure, expanding our multilingual website and educational resources, and developing our client reporting capabilities. We also remained focused on strengthening industry relationships across Switzerland and internationally.
We expanded our presence in Verbier, creating more opportunities for clients to connect with us personally and discover Aurum Helvetica’s approach to physical precious metals.
Our objective remains unchanged: to combine the security, professionalism and discipline expected of a Swiss precious-metals business with a personalised approach built on accessibility, transparency and trust.
Lesson From the Locker Room
During my years in professional hockey, difficult stretches were inevitable. The lesson was rarely to abandon the game plan after one difficult performance.
Instead, it was about understanding what happened, making the necessary adjustments and maintaining the discipline to continue doing the right things.
Investing can be much the same. Markets test conviction. Price movements create emotion. Headlines generate noise.
Long-term decision-making requires perspective, patience and a clear understanding of one’s objectives. The same principles that help athletes navigate challenging periods can help investors maintain perspective during market volatility.
Discipline does not mean ignoring change. It means responding thoughtfully rather than emotionally.
At Aurum Helvetica, we believe physical precious metals can play a role in a well-considered wealth preservation strategy. Our responsibility is to help clients understand that role, the opportunities it presents, and the risks and considerations that accompany ownership.
As we look ahead, we remain committed to building a business grounded in those principles. Thank you for being part of our journey.

This perspective provides general information, not personalised investment advice. Gold and silver prices can fall; premiums, storage costs and currency movements can affect the value and proceeds of an investment.
